In the middle of covid. A space. A cellar, out of sight and away from the surrounding neurosis. A place of withdrawal, of silence conducive to self-reflection.

In psychology, the cellar symbolises the darker side of the individual, the repressed past and the subconscious. But wasn't this cellar, at that time, the cellar of humanity as a whole, from which emerged its endlessly repeated denial of the reality of Death?

Fighting an invisible enemy, the world became aware of its vulnerability and interdependence.

The staging choices were based on the objects found in the abandoned cellars. Darkness was the backdrop, the cloak that carried in its folds this desire to return to the light. The cellar is also said to be the original place where people put down roots, a space where ideas can take shape
